still here, and still keeping busy with a new project

It’s been a few days since I’ve posted, but that’s okay. I’m working on a new wiki project, which is probably the most monetizable project I can put together with relatively little web development/design work. By monetizable I just mean able to generate ad revenue. I’m not imagining this will make me rich, but I am thinking it will at least cover my internet expenses.

I say monetizable because the idea has the potential to develop a userbase (contributors to the wiki), the content will remain useful to them and to readers, indefinitely, and it’s subject tends to have a devoted fanbase. It’s also scalable, to a certain extent.

I’ve got the domain and I’ve set up a wiki, and I’m currently planning on dividing my time between adding content, working on design ideas, and then implement them (I’ll have to study a little bit more CSS). Only then will I start shouting my name about. At some point I’ll also have to figure out how to best use ad revenue.

I’m thinking of also devoting a portion of each day to contributing on various forums and gathering sites of this particular niche. Plans!  Let’s see if I can pull this off…
